6 months!!!

WOW, time flies! Another six months and we will hardly be able to keep up with the boy... eeeks

Charlie's lesson of the week: My crib is kind of cool... it is all mine! No snoring Dad, restless mom or stinky puppy to share it with... just a few toys... which, as my friends, are welcome companions.

Parental lesson of the week: The Johnny Jump Up is a bad idea around 10am (poop time). Charlie, with no concern for his brand new pants (handmade by mom) pooped the most amazing poop just moments after being put in it the other day and the JJU resulted in extreme splatter... diaper, shirt, one very soaked pant leg and a large puddle on the hard wood floor... thank goodness he wasn't on the carpet!

Most memorable adventure this week: Income tax... Charlie went with me to Amy's office to help her and her gang get through the final push to April 15th. Charlie was a great help. He learned all about filing (but decided he should learn the alphabet first) and telephone etiquette.

Moment we could only get away with because Charlie couldn't stop us: mashed bananas!!!
Simple moment of the week: Sitting in Charlie's room at bedtime and listening to him put himself to sleep... giggling, grunting, and finally crashing

Scariest or most frustrating moment this week: Just the constant dilemma... how much time to spend making money to support Charlie and how much time to spend playing with him and helping him grow and learn... there is a delicate balance... I'm not sure that we will ever figure it out.

Deep thoughts of the week (by Charlie): Religion makes people do strange things! Not really sure about all these holidays... First we sat around the table at Grandma and Grandpa's reading a book backwards. Second, we were busy coloring eggs... why would anyone color an egg?

Photos of the week:

"This is my dad's WSU hat.. I like it!"

Where in the world did Charlie get those eyes???
