Perfect in Every Way

Charles had his four month 'well visit' with Dr. Jenny this morning. He is 17lbs 3oz, 2' 2.5" and he is, and I quote, "perfect in every way". He is in the 87th percentile for his weight and the 92nd percentile for height. He looks chubby but this is perfectly normal for a breast fed baby. Apparently my milk becomes less fatty and he can be expected to slim down during the second half of his first year
The best news is that he is doing everything on today's 'developmental checklist'. Babies only doing half of these things are still considered 'on track' developmentally so Charlie is, and I quote again, "a genius'.

Time for me to eat (Dennis made chicken enchiladas) so that I can keep feeding Charlie his genius juice.

4 months old and 2 days

Here is the first of a many more photos I hope to be posting soon!
This is the sepia edition of this shot.

Charlie continues to grow and add to our lives lots of smiles, and laughs. He is starting to make more screechy like noises and is experimenting with his range of tones.

almost 4 months

I know that Dennis will be posting some new photos soon (Charlie will be four months old in two days) but I just had to post a quick update.

Yesterday Charlie did two amazing things...

He grabbed his feet for the first time and he rolled over (back to belly) on a hard surface, without help. (He had rolled over on our bed but the fluff helped a bit.)

My little boy is getting so big!

Finally, a photo of Charlie and his Grandma

This is a pretty silly photo which Dennis took with his new phone the other day. It is hardly 'blog worthy' and I imagine that my mom will insist that I remove it promptly but... there are no photos on here of Charlie with his Grandma so, until we get a better one, this stays!
As you can see in the background there is a bit of painting going on at Grandma and Grandpa's... unfortunately it has become a huge fiasco (I didn't recommend the guys doing it and, if I had they would have been finished three weeks ago). That is a plastic drop cloth over the fireplace which, strangely, did not prevent the guys from spattering the brick work with paint.... argggh.
The colors are nice though, I did pick those out. ;)
